Defending spelling champ advances (Ventura County Star)
The eighth-grader — the defending Ventura County champion — was one of two winners at the competition held at Dos Caminos School for schools in the Pleasant Valley, Somis and Mesa Union districts, as well as private schools in the Camarillo area.
